Invisible City Editions are a duo who seem set on re-issuing the most refined and infectious material from the disco end of the world music spectrum. Despite being in their relative infancy as a label each release to date has been of the highest calibre and stays true to the funk groove they seem so intent on residing in.
April saw the ‘ICE’ guys dip their toes into the vinyl re-issue pond for the first time with a 12″ by Bajan Michael Boothman. The original was first released in 1980, but the re-issue has been made that bit more special with previously un-released extended versions of each track. Both tracks seem to feature vocalist Charmaine Forde to devastating effect, and each is a completely essential slice of disco boogie in it’s own right.
Check out a snippet of each track below. Whilst it may be no surprise that the hard copies are completely sold out it could be wise to keep your eyes on the Rush Hour store for any updates or re-presses.
