So as you may or may not have realised from my twitter feed that I am lucky enough to be a part of Run Dem Crew. Not just a running club, it is more a collective of Londoners (both old and young) chasing a positive outlook as much as a new PB.
After being involved for a few months, and following on from some ongoing pressure from the man and RDC founder Charlie Dark I finally got round to putting together a mix for the crew. My initial thoughts all leant towards compiling a selection of tracks that not only represented what Tumbleweave is all about, but that would also be a suitable soundtrack to a long, hard run. The resulting selection is therefore full of incessant percussion, driving rhythms, and high tempos – all with the aim of providing support to those who choose to take it out on the road with them.
The track list is available below, but please don’t feel that this is just some sort of motivational workout tape. A lot of the tunes have recently featured on the blog, but they have merely been compiled in a way that could be interpreted as being helpful on the road, as well as the sofa.
